Charles Bosma
PADI Master Instructor
Born in Aruba, started diving in Aruba, started teaching in Aruba and trained in Aruba, the Netherlands and Florida.
I am now a PADI Master Instructor, which means I am an experienced instructor and have now certified more than 150 divers with experience at all levels.
I am an experienced diver in both beautiful tropical waters and the so different Northern-West European waters. Each have their charmes and I love them both.
On deeper wrecks you will often find a lot of flora and fauna, which are sometimes not even found on a reef.
My interests and continuing education are in the areas of Sidemount Diving and TecRec. I am particularly fascinated by the technique of diving.
Even after more than 500 dives, I’m still far from bored with diving. There is always something to improve or something new to see, in a different place or even in the same place.
Most of the photos and videos on this site I made myself with my GoPro (4/6), many of the product photos are stock photos of others (PADI, DAN etc).
Divi Diving takes you to new places
Key Largo and Aruba are ideal dive sites for novice divers or divers who dive less frequently. Easily accessible dive sites by boat with pleasant crew, readily accessible sites with lovely clear blue water! Bonaire, Curacao, Egypt, Croatia, Bali, Thailand and other beautiful (sub-) tropical locations are great places to dive. Did you know that you can also dive comfortably in the Netherlands? We have a lot of dive sites in the Netherlands and some also have good visibility. It is important that you wear a proper dive suit in the Netherlands to maximise your fun in diving.

That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun scuba diving.

After five years of teaching, I am in the process of becoming a Course Director so I can also train Diving Instructors.
At this moment you can already train with me to become a Divemaster or Assistant Instructor
If all goes well, as of September 2020 you can also train with me to become a PADI instructors.
The best part of training instructors is to be able to guide people from divers and assistants to instructors being in control of the situation and know what to do. That transformation is really special to experience and see.
As an IDC Staff instructor I experienced that for the first time, it not only challenged myself to get better, I also had to be a role model for new instructors. That has undeniably made me a better instructor.

€ 219.00Divi Diving and I are a 100% Aware partner. I believe in the importance of standing up for our oceans. Nothing is as strong and fragile at the same time as nature. Nature offers us a lot of beauty to see and even more. For us as divers it’s important we can see something worthwhile when we are diving. Sure a wreck can be quite beautiful or eerie. A wreck that has been taken over by nature and where all kinds of underwater animals now live is even more beautiful. Our coral reefs are fighting for their existence. Fortunately, we have recently made advances in successfully replanting some types of coral. However, that does not happen on its own.
Project Aware uses the data we, as divers, gather to feed policitians directed information about the underwater world tomaximise the efforts in preservation and conservation.
An additional advantage for you as a customer is that you automatically receive a Project Aware certification card with your certification. All you have to do is decide what you want to donate to Project Aware, I will facilitate your donation and process it together with your certification. Not mandatory, but a warm and positive choice.
